So back to the drawing board. Norman thought that it would be easier, lighter and faster to make a steel stand to support the bell. It is much more spare and elegant than the wooden one would have been. I rang the bell as it was hanging from the new stand this morning and it works really well.
Tomorrow we should be able to put it into the car. Yahooooo! I will have to change the message on the side of the car. It still reads “thebellproject.blogspot.com” as it has for the last year.
