“Paul’s turn” – NT(What's happened to Matt?)
Day 189 sheltering in place
2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. The Equinox has passed however, we who do not live at the Equator have yet to experience a day of equal light and equal darkness. At this latitude, the real day of equal light falls 4 days after the Fall Equinox (and 4 days before in the Spring). So, for those of us in NY and the Bay Area- tomorrow September 25th is the day.
If you would like to find out which day you can experience the actual balance where you live, check out timeanddate.com and enter your location and look for the sunrise and sunset to occur at the same time AM/PM.Posted by Brenda Hutchinson at 8:30 PM 0 comments

The fan is running all the time here to create some version of positive air pressure in my room. It may my imagination, but I thought the bells sounded a bit modified by the fan- the way your voice sounds when you sing in front of a fan. Maybe, maybe not?Posted by Brenda Hutchinson at 6:30 PM 0 comments

Crossing the Delaware River between Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. with friends and strangers. Just down the street from where my father has lived for over 35 years. Also - just a few miles north of where Washington crossed the Delaware back in the day.
We enjoyed it so much we walked over and back - twice.
