December 14, 2018. Sunset 4:50 PM.
Albany, CA.
Walking along the BART tracks in Albany, CA with my friend Rae as we celebrate the last day of the earliest sunsets of the year. All along this latitude, we are already expanding the light at the end of the day. Sadly, the sun will continue to rise later and later, (even after the Solstice) holding back the full expansion of the day. It will be well into the 1st and 2nd weeks of January before the sunrise begins to shine an earlier light on day. Then off we go!

Sunset Mourning
December 12, 2018. Sunrise 7:08 AM.
Chicago, IL.
I am a bit mellow because my mom died this past Wednesday. I took this picture of the sunrise in Chicago suburbs the next day. I wanted to share it with you.
