Even after so many posts from Joe in the past few days, it only just dawned on me because of the relatively early sunset times and late sunrises, that he is SOUTH OF THE EQUATOR!!! (2917 km = 1812 miles). Winter. And only 800 miles closer than Warren's Winter Solstice 6/21 post from Australia (4209 km = 2616 miles) Happy Wintering down there!!

Invitation to the senses
July 9, 2018. 7:57 AM
Sunrise at Gaarona Valley Lodge Heidelberg, South Africa
from Joe P. on his journey across South Africa. For some reason, the sounds and air and heat are almost there when I look at the photo-- amazing!
