(I'm a little distracted by how Mardi's zipper draws such a straight line from her chin through the gap between her legs to the ground). Super fog turned to drizzle just after the sun set. We need so much more!!!

She's back!

I was afraid we would never hear this bird again—but she’s back. It seems like May is her time to be here—She has a beautiful song and was singing right above our heads!! back and forth with a relative down the street at sunset this evening. Cross species siblings

There's a long story in this photo. These neighbors have been involved with the sunset bellringing since we began more than 15 years ago. Henry was 3 years old. This evening he was telling us how his dog (you can see her little tail there) runs to the door every night when she hears the bell. He could have been talking about his younger self. We would see him plastered to the window across the street, all excited, usually in his pajamas. History repeating itself. Thank you Matt for your reliable presence and company here for all these years.

We have finally broken through to 8:00 sunset!!! Neighbors with gongs and dogs. Blustery grey sunset. Pavlovian dogs- our most reliable company for the bell ringing. They like the outing.
