July 25, 2020. Sunset 8:24 PM (again). San Francisco, CA. Waiting for that streetlight to come on. It’s erratic and hard to predict but everyone once in a while it lights up the bell. Day 126 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other. -- BH

Day 124 Arrival of the Calvary
July 23, 2020. Sunset 8:25. San Francisco, CA. It’s been a pretty solitary experience out here lately. So it was such pleasant and welcome surprise when Bernie and Mardi glided in at the last minute! Day 124 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other.-- BH

Day 123 our evening routine
July 22, 2020. Sunset 8:26. San Francisco, CA. Our evening routine. The BIRD seems to be on her own schedule—We may have passed through her schedule and are now coming out too early to join her for her set. Or we get to be the warm up band for the White Throated Sparrow. Day 123 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other. -- BH

Day 122 ride around the sun
July 21, 2020. Sunset 8:27 (again). San Francisco, CA. Another cool, dreary evening. The slow seeping of light from the day. Clouds, fog, the ride around the sun. Day 122 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other. -- BH

Day 121 inside outside
July 20, 2020. Sunset 8:27. San Francisco, CA. In case you were wondering how cold it is here on a typical summer’s day, we don’t even open the windows in the house. Otherwise, I’d be wearing a coat over my sweater and long underwear. Just like like outdoors. More business as usual—the sun set a minute earlier than last night. The BIRD was nowhere to be heard. Empty streets this evening. Day 121 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other. -- BH
