Reinforcements- Joining Norman on the big bell this evening-- Thanks to Elisabeth and Richard for the gongs and cowbell, to Mardi and Bernie for walking over in the fog and to the little boy banging on the window next door frantically waving his bell through the sound-proof glass. Day 132 let there be light
July 31, 2020. Sunset 8:18 PM. San Francisco, CA. It has been overcast here for so long that Norman couldn’t believe it was actually sunset this evening. “It’s so light”, he marveled. It’s great to see the sky and color again! (Did you hear that little squeaky wing sound about 1:00? Maybe that dove is still nearby). Day 130 blessed by the dove
July 29, 2020. Sunset 8:20 PM. San Francisco, CA. There's a dove in the tree. She flew there just as we were setting up and then sat very still while we rang the bell. When we finished, she left in a noisy rush, flying up and down the street, her wings squeaking like little rusty hinges. Day 130 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other. -- BH

Day 127 quiet company
July 26, 2020. Sunset 8:23 PM. San Francisco, CA. Quiet company all around. New birds observed from on high, while our young neighbor rang his bell behind the glass next door. Too cold to open the window, he was just a waving hand behind the glass until he dropped his bell and disappeared. Day 127 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other. -- BH
