2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. Printed Invitation/Business Cards

I spent today making a card to hand out. As more people are starting to ring bells with me, I realize that it might be a good idea for them to have something with “dailybell2008” written on it. It’s too long to remember, especially first thing in the morning. Also the encounters with strangers are very quick, so it will be nice to give them something to take away or hold onto while they consider whether or not they want to participate.
