2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. May 14, 2022. Eclipse notice!

OOoooo. Look out tomorrow evening! Everyone on the East Coast will have a chance to watch this in darkness (weather permitting). For those of us on the West Coast, this will be in progress at sunset-- We should still be able to see a red moon as it falls into shadow. Here's a handy site to look up what time the eclipse will be happening wherever you are
