2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. College tours-- ALREADY!!?!?!

I joined my friend Krys and her son Kazi (my godson) for one day 8-hour roundtrip drive to Cal Poly to attend the Winter Orchesis Dance Company performance. Congratulations to the performers and choreographers for their beautiful work and best wishes going forward.

17 years has time warp jumped from brand new baby looking at the world for the first time to checking out colleges. I’m so honored and grateful to have been even a small part of this journey (the long one and this relatively brief one).
