It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. Standard Time RIP

March 7, 2020. Sunset 6:09 PM. .
San Francisco, CA.

Until we meet again in the fall-- Disrupting our sense of cycles and continuity once again. We can opt out of this change and remain in Standard Time- it's the law of the land! Arizona and Hawaii are already hanging in there. However, if we want to stay with Daylight Savings Time, it's a bit more difficult to change. Also, not the better option if you think about going to work in the dark at 8:00 in the winter. Or as a state or Nation that we would be more out of sync with the rest of world-- An hour ahead for more than half the year.

Ach-- at least remember to jump ahead tonight so as not to be late for anything tomorrow.
