2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. 22 years of Sunsets ...

Remembering my mom on Mother's day -- It's been 22 years worth of sunsets since my mother passed away-- I dug around many boxes of photos to find one with all of us in it. Here's my young mother- with me (spaced out in the back), my sister and brother in 1965. I miss my mother and brother and am so grateful for my dear sister.
