2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. Jump into Spring

What I had thought was little bug I picked up in India was actually pneumonia- from which I am recovering (along with a broken rib for my coughing efforts). I’m feeling much better and am especially happy to mark and share this occasion.

For those of us North of the equator, we’ve already had the pleasure of the day of equal light / equal darkness and are now tipped towards the light. Here’s this year’s Equilux offering from the San Francisco Bay Area.
