2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing, aspirational project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crosses the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others while ringing bells. It is based on the conviction that something as inarguable as the movement of the earth can be used as a point of unity and awareness among large groups of people who might otherwise find it impossible to agree. The Whole Month of October

I know I said that I was taking the month off as far as documentation was concerned. However, I did occasionally record some audio or shoot a photo or movie. Not much. Just now and then. If you are interested in knowing more about how the month went, I did keep a daily journal for the month. The entries are generally quite short. It's a rough draft that I intend to finish at some point by putting in the links where they are indicated. But other than that, it's OK as is. It will open in MS word.
