"Straddling hemispheres”

2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crossed the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). Beginning on Monday evening December 31, 2007, at 4:59 PST, Brenda Hutchinson invites others to join in wherever they find themselves at sunrise or sunset and to post to the blog if you wish. This is the archival blog and has ALL documentation since 2008.

It doesn't look that much different around here than many, many nights over the past 2 years- However...
We have just moved through the shortest day of the year and into the 4th night of Hanukkah!
Wishing everyone an abundance of light and blessings of the season.

Looking out the window a few minutes after coming inside from ringing the bell tonight-- So much light and color- and just a glimpse of the man coming home from the streetcar who has been passing by around this time each evening.Posted by Brenda Hutchinson at 8:00 PM 0 comments
