Just before the Equinox--End of summer-- Harvest MoonLook up!
2008 was the inaugural year in an ongoing project dedicated to the observation of the sun every time it crossed the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). Beginning on Monday evening December 31, 2007, at 4:59 PST, Brenda Hutchinson invites others to join in wherever they find themselves at sunrise or sunset and to post to the blog if you wish. This is the archival blog and has ALL documentation since 2008.

The Exploratorium Pier 15— Shimon Attie’s Night Watch was scheduled to pass by the Exploratorium this evening, but it never made it. Despite our disappointment with not actually seeing the barge, it’s an inspiring piece to read about, and the experience is not difficult to imagine. I am sorry the barge didn’t pass by as expected. In any event, we formed a patient and solemn cluster along the edge of the Exploratorium pier while the sun set quietly on our expectations.Posted by Brenda Hutchinson at 10:30 PM 0 comments
